It is with much joy that I do this blog post On Saturday the 12th December a group of volunteers from Mommies on a Mission headed out to a home to bless them with a Christmas Party.   This home is a place of protection and love to abused, neglected, abandoned and hurt children. It was so humbling to be part of this event and being our very first MOAM CT team project it was very special indeed.

Not only did I get to participate in this I was also priveleged to participate in Help Portrait on this very day.  Help Portrait is an international community of Photographers that have put aside the 12th December to bless people and give back to community  with portraits, talents and expertise. You give up your rights for the day and help others  So for me it was a double blessing to be able to participate in both.

My objective to this project was to capture it through God’s eyes as Orphans are extremely close to His heart and I wanted to honour The Father with excellence today.  My prayer is that when you view these images you will also be moved to do something in your circle or community.  We can all make a difference in the lives of someone, if we look to the left and to the right there is always someone in need.  Lets give of our time and talents and honour God in all we do :)  Lets make sharing and blessing an all year season and not just at Christmas :)  I like what my sister says and I quote her ” May we always be mindful of  all we have to give, especially our time and when we think we gave enough, that’s probably when we need to give more”

These were some of the portraits taken of the awesome kiddies, the idea also is to print the images and present it to them so I will do something special there as well.

Finally, prezzie time, Santa was great!

These two special people below have opened their hearts and homes along with the helpers and teachers to make this home a safe, warm, loving, caring home for these kids to feel safe and secure.  May you be blessed beyond measure and may the provision of the Lord overtake you in 2010 and years to come!
